Your Support

The Nutcracker ballet is produced and performed by Alameda Civic Ballet (ACB). ACB is a non-profit performing company and is financially separate from the Alameda Ballet Academy (ABA), which is a for-profit school. The tuition paid to ABA for ballet classes do not support the Nutcracker or other ACB productions. ACB's productions are solely funded by ticket sales, performance fees, and generous donations.

While ACBs the Nutcracker ballet is much less extravagant than San Francisco Ballet's or Smuin Ballet's holiday productions, producing our show is still challenging and expensive. Ticket sales and performance fees do not cover all the costs. The generosity and support of individual, corporate, and foundation sponsors help us bridge the gap.

We are asking you to support performing arts in Alameda by making a tax-deductible gift to Alameda Civic Ballet. We are grateful for gifts of any size, however please take a look at specific levels of giving listed below. Thank you!

Alameda Civic Ballet

"I was very impressed by your orderliness with the kids and their parents. I really appreciated the way you made it clear that kids were not to disrupt your rehearsals by arriving late. And every time i peeked in the door's hole, all the kids were in their places and their little mistakes were being corrected. My daughter has been in three previous performances at the Kofman Auditorium, and she has always had the teacher of her class in front of her and the other students. I was impressed by the fact that you got all the kids to do their choreography without a teacher, and now I know my daugther is capable of this. She absolutely loved being in Alameda's Nutcracker this past December! She had a great time and still talks about it. Thanks for giving her this opportunity. It really made our family's Christmas more joyous!"
